This powerful subwoofer is equipped with a Voice Coil Cooling
System (VCCS™) to keep the subwoofer cool, so the sound
stays natural. There’s also a dual-layer long voice coil (2 x 4 Ω),
which, combined with the extremely light KEVLAR
®
brand fibre
composite cone, creates a force to be reckoned with.

VOICE COIL COOLING SYSTEM (VCCS™)
Typically, the longer and louder you play your subwoofer, the hotter it gets.
This changes its electrical and mechanical characteristics and adversely affects
sound quality. Pioneer’s Voice Coil Cooling System (VCCS™) draws heat away from
the inside of the subwoofer, reducing the temperature by 50 degrees. Essentially, it
keeps the sound crisp and prevents the subwoofer from losing its cool.
