PRS PIONEER REFERENCE SERIES
PRS PIONEER REFERENCE SERIES
The Road to Success
Team Pioneer actively participates
in European sound competitions
mainly organised by EMMA and, in some countries, by IASCA.
Throughout the year, Team Pioneer has achieved
outstanding results at a number of national and international
events, a trend that is likely to be strengthened in the future.
At the international kickoff of the EMMA
2007
competition
season
, traditionally at the Car+Sound show in Sinsheim
(Germany)
in April, Team Pioneer sent a clear message to
the competition
by winning in almost half of all Sound
Quality classes. Throughout the 2007 season the success
rate was
very high: almost 90% of top-3 places and over 50%
of victories,
resulting in 11 national champions.
2007 EUROPEAN EMMA FINALS
To conclude an already very
successful year, 14 Team Pioneer
cars qualied for the European
EMMA Finals in Herning, Denmark,
in October 2007. At these European
EMMA (European Mobile Media Association) finals, Team Pioneer
won 11 cups (top-3 places) in the different categories. The team was
crowned with 2 European Champions, 5 Vice European champions,
as well as the European Best of Sound and Best of Show trophies!
2007 IASCA EUROPEAN FINALS
At the IASCA (International Auto Sound Challenge Association) European Finals in Italy, October 2007,
Ivan Izraylev and Viktor Ivanov (Otdel Tekhnitcheskoy Estetiki Russia)
achieved 3rd place in the
Ultimate Amateur competition (Sound Quality) and 1st place in the Ultimate IdBL competition (SPL)
,
while Juan José & Clara Bravo (JC Audio - Spain) won the Second-Best of Sound award.
At the 2007 EMMA Eurofinals in Denmark, Team Pioneer won no less than 11 cups.
A Reference in Many Ways
Despite its short existence, Team Pioneer has already
become a reference for the car audio industry, not only
thanks to their results in sound quality competitions,
but also from a team spirit and community point of view.
Over the past two years, Team Pioneer has created a very
dynamic and enjoyable atmosphere for every event visitor.
Apart from showing off Europe’s top cars, they also make
sure there is room for vibrant side animation such as live
DVJ performances or giving the fans the opportunity to have
their picture taken with Pioneer’s models.
Pioneer is also successful outside of the European competition scene.
Team Pioneer/Edge Audio, Pioneer’s American SPL competition team,
is a clear-cut winner. SPL (Sound Pressure Level) competitions are not
just about producing the loudest or most powerful sound. For Team Edge
Audio, which can draw on many years of experience in building award-
winning vehicles, it’s pure science. They track many parameters including
temperature, humidity, voltage, current and a multitude of other data,
which helps them to understand how even the smallest change can effect
the overall performance of the products.
Scott Owens and his team were the rst to push beyond the 180 dB barrier.
The Team has set new records so often that the question is not if they can
beat it again, but rather by how much.
