Compact yet powerful, the GM-D8400M and GM-D7400M
mono-channel Class-D amplifiers ignite your system
with heaps of audio performance. As they require less
distortion-causing input power, they pump out constant
crisp sound and set a new standard of excellence.
CLASS-D AMPLIFIERS
Class-D ampliers overcome the inefciencies of traditional Class-A
and Class-AB ampliers. Pioneer’s Class-D amps transform very little
power into heat, while a very large percentage of the power supply
(67 %) is transferred into the load. This results in a very compact amp,
which needs little input power to produce very high output power.
SPEAKER LINE INPUT SENSOR
The speaker line input sensor extends connection possibilities to new
levels. For example, to hook up a subwoofer to your car’s existing sound
system, simply connect Pioneer’s Class-D amps using the speaker
line input sensor. You can even drive a subwoofer over the Class-D
amp from your car’s original headunit. Installation is remarkably easy;
there’s no need to connect a remote line.

Traditional amplier
The high amplifier power required to drive
a subwoofer causes unstable current and
voltage, which not only goes to the subwoofer
but also to the front and rear speakers.
As a result, the sound quality is affected and
becomes distorted.
Class-D amplifier
A Class-D amplifier needs only 2/3 of the current
of a conventional amplifier, so the power supply
to both subwoofer and front and rear speakers is
more stable. As a result, the sound quality will not
be affected, so users can enjoy a very clean sound
output without any distortion.
